This has recently been pointed out related to Audacious playing back an S3M chiptune module differently if comparing AdPlug output with OpenMPT output.
As an example, if playing the following file with AdPlug there is noise instead of the sample based drums/percussions:
laamaa_-_oplomega.s3m
I understand AdPlug is not a full-blown S3M player, but only handles Scream Tracker 3.x modules with FM instruments based on AdLib and/or OPL2 to 4. Hence it rejects the majority of S3M modules.
What's the deal with this particular module. Is it a bug? Or could AdPlug be enhanced to reject the file, if it recognizes requirements it doesn't support?
