To accelerate the world’s ability to discover, learn and communicate science

About us

BioRender is revolutionizing how science is communicated, one graphic at a time (you can think of us as the Adobe or Canva for science!). We're on a mission to accelerate science by empowering all scientists to quickly and easily communicate their research. We are a team of passionate scientists, engineers, science illustrators, designers and entrepreneurs backed by an incredible group of investors, including YCombinator. We nerd out on cool science stuff and solving big problems. We work really hard and sweat the details to deliver a high impact product that our users love.

A lot of scientists still consider "putting on a Spotify playlist and manually reformatting their data for an hour" to just be part of analyzing their experimental data. Not a bug. Part of the job. Data visualizations are an integral part of how scientists communicate their most important findings. And yet the workflow behind them hasn't really changed in decades. Science is moving faster than ever. The tools should too. Today we're launching BioRender Graphing. Raw data in, publication-quality graphs and analyses out, without the Spotify hour in between. Presentation-ready, the same style as your BioRender figures, and one click away from your slides. This isn't about adding more features to an old workflow. It's about what a product should look like when it's actually designed for the way modern science works. From raw data to publication-quality graphs in minutes. After years in the making, we're excited to launch BioRender Graphing and Analysis! 📊 📈 (built with the same trust, accuracy and high design standards you’ve come to expect from us). Powered by trusted R packages, flags outliers, and even recommends the right statistical test (no more midnight Googling "which ANOVA should I use"). One scientist called it "the powerful statistical guidance we didn't know we were missing." Several enterprise partners are already loving the results and switching from Prism. Huge thanks to the Graphing Team who are continuing to expand this with rigor and care. Try it for free, and tell us what you think! https://lnkd.in/eCfpDPvz

Wow thank you Fast Company for this recognition! We’re not exactly a household name outside of our science bubble, so I’m not sure how we made this list tbh (sandwiched between Netflix and Nike 🤯). What keeps us up at night is pushing design at the intersection of science, AI and visual communication. If you’re also passionate about these things, we’re hiring across the board! https://lnkd.in/eiRT-b3v

  • Grant reviewers scan the figures of a proposal before deciding whether to continue reading - we hear this time and time again. Clear, accurate visuals are critical for grant success. Tulane researchers found an edge: the ones using BioRender TRIPLED their NIH funding versus those who didn't (not to mention they built their figures 6x faster). We dug into exactly how they did it. Very excited for BioRender's first ever Bio AI hackathon 🧬🏆 (co-organized with Tamarind Bio, sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Modal, hosted at Y Combinator HQ in SF. Kudos to my cofounder Katya Shteyn for leading on the BioRender side, and thanks to Ankit Gupta for always being our bio/AI/startup champion!) See you there!
