Void

Void is a minimalist, offline-friendly web app for writing plain text without accounts, clutter, or distractions. It focuses on the text itself, keeping your notes portable, private, and easy to share.

Key features:

  • Plain-text editor with no formatting noise
  • Automatic saving directly in the URL using compression
  • No backend, no accounts, no tracking
  • Works offline and survives page reloads
  • Share notes instantly by copying the URL
  • Light and dark mode via system preferences
  • Optional per-note styling stored with the text

Void stays out of the way and lets words exist on their own terms.

How to use?

  1. Open the Void web app.
  2. Start typing directly on the page.
  3. Your text is saved automatically in the URL.
  4. Refresh or reopen the page to keep your text.
  5. Copy the URL to share the text with others.

Pro tips!

  • Add a title by starting the first line with # .
  • Optional: change styles (CSS) — they’re saved with the text.

No accounts. No buttons. Just write.
