Publishing results from measurements at the NCNR

• In order to qualify for beam-time at the NCNR, you must report any publications resulting from previous work using the facility to the NCNR in a timely fashion.
• There is no requirement for publications resulting from work at the NCNR to have a NIST co-author, however you are encouraged to openly discuss this issue with the NCNR scientists responsible for the instrument you are using, and, where appropriate, include them as co-authors.
• Publications that have a NIST co-author must be approved by the Washington Editorial Review Board (WERB). Your NIST co-authors will take responsibility for handling this process.
• Publications that do not explicitly have a NIST-NCNR co-author are expected to include the following acknowledgment: We acknowledge the support of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, U.S. Department of Commerce, in providing the neutron research facilities used in this work.
• Publications resulting from measurements on instruments that are part of the Center for High Resolution Neutron Scattering (CHRNS) have further acknowledgment requirements.  If you used one of the instruments below, please refer to  Acknowledging CHRNS in Publications and Presentations​.
